Monday 14th December 2020 – The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat launched on service at 13.19 pm this afternoon to reports of an object floating in the water at Loe Bar. The Lifeboat proceeded to the position in very poor conditions. Upon arrival it was seen the object was in fact a discarded trawler net which was drifting closer to the shoreline. Sea conditions were too rough for the lifeboat to retrieve the net safely so it was left to wash on to the beach. RNLB Rose returned to station at 14.50 pm for re-housing.
