The lifeboat launched on service at approximately 1.45pm to investigate a report of two unmanned fishing rods discovered on rocks near Dollar Point, Coverack. Upon arrival a thorough search of the area was carried out with the Y-boat deployed to carry out a closer in-shore search. Nothing out of the ordinary was found and RNLB Rose returned to station after a two-hour search. This was an alarm raised with good intent.
