The Lifeboat launched on service shortly before 2am this morning to go to the assistance of a French sailing vessel, becalmed and reporting machinery failure.
She gave her position as 9 miles east of The Lizard Lifeboat station. This was the same vessel which the Lifeboat had been tasked to attend on the previous evening.
Once on scene a member of the lifeboat crew boarded the vessel to facilitate a tow line. The vessel was subsequently towed in to Pendennis Marina in Falmouth. RNLB “Rose” arrived back at Kilcobben for re-housing at 5.40am.
